Hello, I’m Jessica (she/her) and I’m a psychologist who works with adults for one-on-one psychotherapy in Sydney and Australia-wide on telehealth. I value curiosity, compassion and collaboration in my therapeutic work.

My therapeutic practice is centred around narrative therapy, which seeks to challenge dominant cultural narratives while helping people write their own stories by exploring their values and sense of personal meaning. In addition, I use aspects of schema therapy to support people in understanding how their early experiences may influence the patterns that play out in their current relationships. I also use more skills-based approaches, as I believe that there are many right ways to help people, and what works for each person will be different.

Therapeutic approaches:

  • narrative therapy
  • schema therapy
  • acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)
  • dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT)
  • cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)

In my practice I try to provide knowledgeable and affirming care to people who:

  • are trans or non-binary, or wish to explore their gender
  • are intersex
  • are queer, lesbian, gay, bi/pansexual, asexual/aromatic, or seeking a deeper understanding of their sexual or romantic identity
  • are neurodiverse, or want to discuss whether autism or attention-deficit/hyperactivity may be applicable frameworks for them
  • practice kink/BDSM, ethical non-monogamy/polyamory, or sex work

I work with adults to support them through a variety of experiences, including but not limited to:

  • gender journeys
  • sexuality
  • attachment
  • trauma and complex trauma
  • identity conflict
  • family of origin issues
  • faith, culture and religion
  • relationships, including non-monogamy/polyamory and BDSM relationships
  • friendships and social connection
  • self-esteem, confidence and self-compassion
  • major life changes and transitions
  • chronic illness and disability
  • attention-deficit/hyperactivity
  • autism spectrum experiences
  • grief and loss
  • depression and low mood
  • anxiety and phobias
